Although for the most part I felt like the sessions which I attended at PodCamp Toronto this past weekend all lacked something big (either content or delivery) I did manage to pick up a couple of useful things and I wanted to share them.

Caffeine →
After having sat in one too many presentations this weekend where the presenter was dealing with their laptop constantly falling asleep I decided this app was worth a mention.
Caffeine is a tiny program that puts an icon in the right side of your menu bar. Click it to prevent your Mac from automatically going to sleep, dimming the screen or starting screen savers.

Think: Application →
Sitting here is a session about hacking my workflow to be more productive I thought I would share one of my favourite applications.
When I need to write I use the paid application, WriteRoom but when I need to do more than writing I use the freeware app Think.
Think is amazing because it allows you to block out all distractions so that you can focus on what you are doing, whether it is...

Day in Review
With the day over and a bunch of sessions in the bag I thought it would be good to write a little review of the day.
Althought I was looking forward to my time at PodCamp Toronto I have to honestly say that I was less than impressed. I personally found that all of the sessions I attended either lacked the content needed or the necessary delivery to make it worth while.
As for the participants,...

Arrived in Toronto safe and sound with the crew from London. Already enjoyed some fantastic poutine and a beer.
It seems like the weekend is off to a good start. Things are about as geeky as they can be at the moment though, 5 guys each with some type of Internet device and having a glass of wine.
What are you up to?

PodCamping Gear
I’ve been spending some time tonight trying to get things in order before I leave tomorrow morning to head to Toronto with some other London folk for PodCamp Toronto 2010. I’ve already packed my clothing etc (that was easy) but have now turned to what tech/photo related gear I want to bring.
After having done a couple of ‘camps’ before I know that carrying around a...

PodCamp Toronto 2010
With PodCamp Toronto 2010 just a couple of days away (well 1 day for me, I am heading up on Friday with folks from London) I thought I might throw together a quick Tumblr account to keep track of things this weekend.
More than anything I thought it would be useful for me to have some type of digital notebook where I could store my images, thoughts, ideas and other little bits of information which...
